San Jose State wins easily over Antelope Valley, 90-60

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) Frank Rogers scored 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting to help lead San Jose State past Antelope Valley, from the California Pacific Conference of the NAIA, 90-60 on Wednesday night.

Rogers also had 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks. Ryan Welage and Gary Williams Jr. each finished with 10 points for the Spartans (4-3), who have won three straight after losing three of four to open the season.

San Jose State opened the game on a 19-9 stretch and led 33-25 at halftime. The Spartans extended their lead to double figures early in the second half on the strength of a 10-2 run, including seven points from Welage. Leon Bahner hit a free throw with 14:08 left to push the Spartans' lead to 48-29.

Joe McNiff scored 13 to lead the Pioneers.
