Satchell, Niagara rally past St. Peter's 63-61

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) Justin Satchell scored the late, go-ahead jumper, Emile Blackman added a pair of free throws and Niagara held on Thursday night to give St. Peter's its first conference loss, 63-61.

Matt Scott's 3-pointer tied it for Niagara at 3:27, and Satchell's baseline jumper made it 61-59 with 1:24 left, giving the junior a career-high 22 points on 10-of-12 shooting.

Blackman, who added 14, hit both free throws to push the Purple Eagles (4-12, 2-3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) to a four-point lead with 24 seconds left.

Trevis Wyche scored for St. Peter's (5-8, 3-1) with six seconds to go, but the Peacocks failed to get a final shot after Niagara's Scott missed the front-end of a 1-and-1. Scott finished with 10 points.

Wyche led St. Peter's with 18 points and eight assists. Chazz Patterson scored 14 and Antwon Portley added 10.
