Shoshi, Osse cap UALR comeback to beat South Alabama, 62-57 (Mar 02, 2017)

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) Lis Shoshi hit a 3-pointer with 64 seconds left to give Arkansas-Little Rock the lead and Kemy Osse hit four straight free throws to make it stick as the Trojans came from 14 points down in the first half to beat South Alabama in the a Sun Belt Conference battle Thursday night.

UALR pulled into a tie for ninth place in the Sun Belt with South Alabama with Saturday's game at Troy remaining in the regular season. The Jaguars play host to Arkansas State in Saturday's finale.

The Jaguars (13-17, 6-11) built a 32-18 advantage at intermission, but Stetson Billings and Marcus Johnson Jr. hit back-to-back 3-pointers to spark the comeback.

Deondre Burns scored 16 points to lead UALR (15-15, 6-11). Johnson added 14 points off the bench by knocking down 4 of 8 from behind the 3-point stripe.

Josh Ajayi and Ken Williams both scored 14 points to lead South Alabama.
