It's been a tumultuous offseason for St. John's, but one area they've excelled in is recruiting.
That continued on Monday, when Italian guard Federico Mussini committed to play for Chris Mullin and the Red Storm. The Johnnies and Mussini have had mutual interest for quite some time now.
The Red Storm beat out Gonzaga for Mussini's services, and Virginia, Davidson, Vanderbilt and others all pursued the 6-foot guard over the past several months.

Mussini, who turned 19 in March, has been called the best player in his age group in Italy. ESPN sources confirmed the reports that Mussini turned down an offer from a professional club in Europe, choosing instead to attend college in America.
