South carries Texas A&M-CC past Houston Baptist 76-69

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — Kareem South had 21 points as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi topped Houston Baptist 76-69 on Saturday. Emmanuel Toney added 20 points for the Islanders. Toney also had six assists for the Islanders.
Jashawn Talton had 19 points for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (14-17, 9-9 Southland Conference). Jake Babic added 10 points and eight rebounds.
Ian DuBose had 28 points and seven rebounds for the Huskies (12-17, 8-10). Braxton Bonds added seven rebounds.
The Islanders leveled the season series against the Huskies with the win. Houston Baptist defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 73-72 on Feb. 2.
