Spight's deep 3-ball sends N. Colorado past N. Dakota in OT (Jan 20, 2018)

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) Andre Spight sank a buzzer-beating, 3-point heave just inside the half-court line to give Northern Colorado a 94-91 win in overtime against North Dakota on Saturday night.

Spight had a career-high 34 points and scored the last nine points in overtime for Northern Colorado (13-7, 4-3 Big Sky Conference). Cortez Seales missed a jumper with six seconds left, Jonah Radenbaugh grabbed the rebound and threw an outlet pass to Spight who launched the ball on the run shooting off his left foot. Spight was 7 of 14 from 3-point range

Spight sank three free throws with 83 seconds left after getting fouled by Billy Brown on a 3-point attempt and the Bears led 90-89. Seales made a jumper with 54 seconds to go put North Dakota (7-12, 2-5) back on top. Spight made 1 of 2 free throws to tie it at 91.

Radenbaugh made a pair of free throws to give Northern Colorado an 83-80 lead with 11 seconds left in regulation. Radenbaugh fouled Geno Crandall to send him to the free-throw line where he made 1 of 2, but Kienan Walter grabbed the offensive rebound and Connor Avants laid it in to tie it with nine seconds left. Spight missed a potential game-winning 3 to send it to overtime.

Crandall led the Fighting Hawks with 30 points.
