St. Bonaventure pulls away from Niagara for 82-68 win

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. (AP) Dion Wright sank 11 of 17 field goals to score a career-high 28 points as St. Bonaventure defeated Niagara 82-68 on Wednesday night.

Jaylen Adams added 16 points with 12 assists, and Nelson Kaputo scored 14 for the Bonnies (8-3). After four early lead changes, St. Bonaventure's crisp shooting - making a season-high 12 3-pointers - helped it pull away to a 35-27 halftime lead.

Niagara (3-10) led by eight to open the game and was paced by Emile Blackman's 19 points. Cameron Fowler added 14. The Purple Eagles stepped up their shooting from nine made field goals in the first half to 16 after the break. Fowler capped an 8-0 run to open the second half and bring Niagara to within 35-33, but Kaputo and Adams banged down consecutive 3-pointers for the Bonnies, moving the lead up to 43-34 with 16:26 left. Five minutes later, the lead was 20, 59-39.
