St. Francis Brooklyn tops Liberty 64-55

NEW YORK (AP) Tyreek Jewell scored 17 points with 11 rebounds, Antonio Jenifer added 15 points and seven boards, and St. Francis Brooklyn beat Liberty 64-55 on Sunday.

St. Francis Brooklyn (4-7) hit on 12 of 30 3-point attempts and snapped a three-game losing streak, while Liberty (3-10) lost its ninth straight.

Liberty led by one after Evan Maxwell's layup with 4:27 left. Jenifer and Yunus Thompson drilled 3-pointers, though, and St. Francis went up 58-52 with 2:26 to go. Liberty's John Dawson drilled a 3 to make it a three-point game with 1:52 remaining, but the Flames didn't score again.

Liberty led 28-25 at the break. The Flames were paced by Dawson's 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Maxwell finished with 10 points. Liberty had 11 turnovers and was 5 of 16 beyond the arc.
