NEW YORK -- St. John's guard Rysheed Jordan has left school to pursue professional opportunities.

The 6-foot-4 Jordan averaged 14.1 points in 31 games last season, his second with the Red Storm.

"Playing professional basketball has always been a goal of mine," Jordan said Friday. "I believe I am ready to take the next step in my basketball career and plan to work hard to achieve my dream of playing in the NBA."
