Temple wins home opener over Delaware 69-50

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Obi Enechionyia scored 16 points and Temple took a 69-50 victory over Delaware on Sunday.

Enechionyia was 6 of 8 from the field, including four 3-pointers. Jaylen Bond added 11 points and Quenton DeCosey 10.

Three consecutive 3-pointers by Enechionyia put Temple up 56-41 with 9:49 left. Delaware didn't get closer than 10 points.

Temple ended the first half on a 14-2 run to lead 37-25 at the break.

Temple scored 14 points off 11 turnovers while not giving up any points on five miscues. The Owls also had a 21-4 advantage in bench points.

The Owls (2-3) won their home opener. All three of their losses came against Top 25 teams. Temple is 40-6 against Delaware and has won the last 20 meetings.

Cazmon Hayes led the Blue Hens (2-2) with 17 points. Marvin King-Davis had 13 points and 10 rebounds for his third double-double this season.
