Thomas, Foulland combine for 45 points, Bucknell wins in OT (Jan 08, 2018)
EASTON, Pa. (AP) Zach Thomas scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Nana Foulland had 20 points, 11 boards and three blocks, and Bucknell beat Lafayette 80-75 in overtime on Monday night.
Stephen Brown reached 1,000 career points on a tiebreaking 3-pointer late in overtime to become the 42nd player in program history to reach the mark. Lafayette didn't make a field goal in OT and Bucknell guard Jimmy Sotos sealed it at the line with nine seconds left.
At the end of regulation, Alex Petrie had a deep 3-pointer hit the back of the rim, but Justin Jaworski chased down the offensive rebound in the corner and Petrie forced the extra session with a contested 3-pointer at the buzzer .
Brown added 19 points for Bucknell (9-8, 3-1 Patriot). Thomas and Foulland combined to make 15 of 20 free throws as the Bison hit 22 of 29.
Petrie scored 26 points, including four 3-pointers, for Lafayette (4-11, 2-2). Paulius Zalys had 12 points and seven rebounds, and Matt Klinewski scored 10.
