Turnovers Doom Oregon Ducks In Loss To Ole Miss
The Oregon Ducks had 17 turnovers in a loss to Ole Miss.
Kelly Graves has had a team on a hot streak of late, garnering enough votes to enter the Associated Press poll at 25. The Oregon Ducks took care of Clemson on the road, but turnovers caught up with them at Ole Miss on Wednesday.
Despite a double-double from Molly McGuire, the 17 turnovers turned into 23 points for the Runnin’ Rebels in an 83-67 loss. Ruthy Hebard had 22 points. The Ducks key players this season were held under double digits. The first half was not good for Oregon.
Hitting 43 percent in most games is considered decent, but not when you give up 18 points off of 14 turnovers to your opponent. Every team is allowed to have a bad game now and then.
Sabrina Ionescu who had her second triple-double of the season had just 2 points and was on the floor for just 7 minutes. Lexi Bando had 3 points in 22 minutes in the game. Graves once again used every player available against Ole Miss.
All 12 eligible players saw floor time. McGwire had a double-double in just 20 minutes which is impressive considering four Oregon Ducks starters were held under 7 points for the game.
Oregon will look to rebound on Saturday against Portland State. The Oregon Basketball teams will call the Moda Center home for a doubleheader. Kelly Graves and Company will meet Portland State at 5pm, followed by the Oregon Men’s Basketball team facing UNLV at 8pm Pacific Time.
