Tyler Lewis out against Creighton

Butler will enter Saturday's matchup at Creighton without Tyler Lewis.

The team announced that the junior transfer guard has been ruled out after suffering a concussion during practice on Thursday.

Lewis is averaging 7.0 points and 3.7 assists per game. He came off the bench for only the second time this season on Tuesday in a loss to No. 16 Providence, playing a season-low 11 minutes.

Chris Holtmann inserted graduate transfer Jordan Gathers into the lineup against the Friars, using senior wing Roosevelt Jones to run the offense.

The matchup between the Bluejays and Bulldogs features the two highest scoring teams in the Big East, with Creighton averaging 83.5 points followed by Butler at 83.3 points per game.

Saturday's showdown is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. EST on FS1.
