UCLA Basketball: ESPN's Dick Vitale Names Bryce Alford to All-Rolls Royce Teams

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

ESPN’s living legend Dick Vitale released his All-Rolls Royce teams and named UCLA Basketball’s senior guard Bryce Alford to his collection of college basketball standouts.

Dick Vitale. You either love him or you can’t understand him, though it seems you can’t understand him most of the time.

With college basketball a month away, the eccentric ESPN announcer has released his All-Rolls Royce team. From what we can tell, it is the equivalent of an All-American team, sans the freshmen who have yet to play a second of proper college ball.

So can we get an “8 clap” for UCLA’s Bryce Alford who was named to Vitale’s prestigious list? BOOM!

Alford made the list of the best 25 non-diaper dandy (freshmen) players in the nation as a member of the Fourth Team. This will be his fourth and final season in Westwood and is expected to have a big year by Vitale.

This season he looks to have a more specific role with Lonzo Ball taking over the point. With Alford free of distribution duties, he can roam the floor and create his own shot as one of the primary shooting guards. If Alford can develop into this position, he could be one of the better shooting guards in the conference, maybe the country. Congratulations, Bryce!
