UNC Basketball: Updates on Theo Pinsons situation
Is it possible that junior wing Theo Pinson could return for the Tar Heels game against Duke on Thursday?
The North Carolina Tar Heels played in their third-straight game without junior wing Theo Pinson who is dealing with an ankle injury.
But it appears as if his return is coming sooner than later.
Pinson participated in the pregame shoot around and worked outfor the Tar Heels before their win over Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon in Greensboro.

After the win on Sunday, Pinson spoke to the media. Head coach Roy Williams didn’t rule Pinson out for the Tar Heels upcoming game against Duke on Thursday night and said the team hopes they get Theo back very soon.
Roy also said that Pinson is getting closer and feeling great.
Pinson also said he’s feeling great but he did say something very important too via the News & Observer’s Andrew Carter:
The key words there are “no pain.”
With Pinson not feeling any pain in his ankle, that is very good news for the Tar Heels win moving forward.
It’s likely Pinson does a little more at practice this week, leaving the door open for him to return against Duke.
There’s nothing official on it but if the Tar Heels do get Pinson back for their big rivalry game against the Blue Devils, it could provide a big boost both offensively and defensively.
We will continue to monitor the Pinson situation for UNC all week long and keep you updated when we find out more.
