UNC Wilmington beats Campbell for sixth straight win (Dec 14, 2016)
BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) C.J. Bryce scored 26 points and UNC Wilmington pushed its record to 9-1 for the first time in school history with a 96-75 win over Campbell on Wednesday night.
The Seahawks have won six straight since their lone loss to Middle Tennessee on Nov. 25.
Bryce finished 8 of 14 from the field and hit 8 of his 11 free throws. Devonte Cacok added 18 points and 10 rebounds for UNC Wilmington, which shot 55.2 percent from the field and limited itself to just seven turnovers.
Shane Whitfield scored 25 points, 15 from the foul line, to lead Campbell (5-5). Chris Clemons added 18 points for the Camels.
UNC Wilmington led by four (52-48) early in the second, but quickly scored seven of the next eight for a 10-point lead. A Denzel Ingram 3-point play pushed it to 69-51 and the Seahawks cruised from there.
