UTEP starts 32-0, wins 100-50 over Louisiana College (Nov 10, 2017)

EL PASO, Texas (AP) Paul Thomas scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds as UTEP opened the season with a 32-0 run to dominate Louisiana College 100-50 on Friday night.

The Miners went on to hold a 48-16 lead at the half.

Thomas was 6 of 7 from the floor. Isiah Osborne came off the bench to score 17 points as six Miners scored in double figures. Keith Frazier, who scored eight of his 13 points in the opening minutes, finished with nine rebounds and four assists. Matt Willms and Omega Harris each had 12 apiece.

This was the third time that UTEP has scored 100 points in a season opener.

Lashard Powell, who led the Wildcats with 12 points, hit a 3-pointer with 6:29 left in the first half to stop the bleeding. Devon Washington added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
