Virginia basketball team 'kneels for injustice, equality'
Members of the Virginia men's basketball team used social media to show growing support of several athletes who have either sat or kneeled during the national anthem.
Virginia guard London Perrantes posted the photo Thursday night, with the caption "Kneel for Injustice. Kneel for Equality. Using our platform to help creat (sic) change. TOGETHER!"
The Cavaliers are following the lead of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick who has not stood for the national anthem this season, saying he will not do so until significant change is made in the United States.
The team seems to be first college basketball squad to take such a stand, and it is not known if the team will kneel once the regular season starts.

Virginia is expected to be a top 10 preseason team after finishing the 2015 season with a 29–8 record (13–5 ACC). The Cavaliers lost in the regional finals to Syracuse after blowing a double-digit halftime lead.
