Watch a brave young fan climb above the rim to free basketball stuck behind backboard

How many adults does it take to dislodge a basketball that is stuck between the backboard and shot clock? Only one if that adult is wise enough to grab a kid from the front row.

In a bizarre scene during the first half of Tuesday’s Fresno State-Boise State game, a young fan was hoisted up to free the ball – after several attempts by Bulldogs players proved fruitless. And ... success!

The young fella received a much-deserved ovation from the fans, chants of “MVP!” and a hug from the Broncos mascot.

Unfortunately for the home crowd, Fresno State came away with a 74-67 win. But it was still quite a memorable night thanks to one young fan.
