KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) Tucker Haymond scored 26 points and Thomas Wilder made a game-winning layup with 47 seconds left in overtime as Western Michigan beat Northeastern 87-86 on Monday night.

After Wilder's make, David Walker was fouled but only made 1 of 2 free throws to pull within 87-86. Western Michigan's Josh Davis missed both free throws with 28 seconds left. Northeastern dribbled down the clock but turned it over in the lane with 6.4 seconds left.

Western Michigan threw it away on the ensuing inbound play and Northeastern had two good looks, but Walker missed a layup and Jeremy Miller's putback rolled out at the buzzer.

Wilder finished with 17 points for Western Michigan (4-5) and Anthony Avery Jr. had 13.
