FRESNO, Calif. (AP) Bryson Williams tossed in 20 points on 10-of-14 shooting and Terrell Carter II added 18 points, six rebounds and a pair of blocked shots in the final seconds to help Fresno State hold off UNLV 69-63 on Tuesday night.

Fresno State (15-6, 5-3 Mountain West Conference) had a 65-57 lead with 1:38 left in the game, but UNLV's Jordan Johnson had back-to-back 3-point plays in a 26-second span to cut the Runnin' Rebels' deficit to 65-63 with 60 seconds left. Carter delivered for the Bulldogs. The senior center swatted away a layup by Johnson with nine seconds left and blocked a Brandon McCoy layup with four seconds to go. Johnson fouled Carter, who stepped to the free-throw line and hit the first, then shrugged off a UNLV timeout before hitting the second one for a 67-63 lead. Deshon Taylor added two free throws to close out the scoring.

Johnson paced UNLV (14-6, 3-4) with 18 points, while McCoy added 13 points and 13 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season.

Taylor added 14 points and five rebounds for Fresno State.
