ITTA BENA, Miss. (AP) Isaac Williams scored 24 points, including the winning free throws in overtime and Mississippi Valley State upset Jackson State 70-67 on Saturday.

Yettra Specks and Paris Collins scored back-to-back as Jackson State seemed on the verge of completing a long comeback, taking a four-point lead with 26 seconds left in regulation. But Marcus Romain, 14 points, hit a jumper and a layup off a TaJay Henry steal to knot the game at 63.

Williams floated in a layup and Vacha Vaughn added a 3-pointer as the Delta Devils (5-24, 5-11 Southwest Athletic Conference) scored the first five points of OT. Jackson State came roaring back with baskets by Janarius Middleton and Specks. With the lead at 68-67 and time winding down, Williams was fouled and sank both. Specks missed a potential game-tying 3-point attempt at the buzzer.

Specks led Jackson State (11-16, 7-8) with 18 points, Collins added 15 and Derek Roscoe 14 with 11 boards. Middleton had 11 points and 13 rebounds. Jackson State is sixth in the SWAC. Ninth-place MVSU has a slim chance of making the eight-team conference tournament.
