Wofford cruises past Kentucky Christian 86-66
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) Justin Gordon scored 16 points with 7-for-10 shooting and Wofford coasted to an 86-66 win over Kentucky Christian on Thursday night.
Spencer Collins added 15 points, Trevor Stumpe had 12 and Fletcher Magee 10 for Wofford (3-4), which shot 55 percent and had 22 assists on its 34 field goals. The Terriers also controlled the glass, 32-23, with Magee and C.J. Neumann each grabbing seven rebounds.
Kentucky Christian, an NAIA program, got 13 points from Hayden Dunn, Dylan Genung scored 12 and Boyce Wooten had 11. The Knights shot 50 percent from the floor (27 of 54) but had 11 turnovers compared to Wofford's six.
Wofford took a 39-25 advantage into the break but Kentucky Christian narrowed the scoring gap to 47-41 over the final 20 minutes.
The win extended Wofford's record over non-NCAA Division I programs to 52-0 since the 1995-96 season.
