Xavier's Jalen Reynolds drops hammer on St. John's defender

Xavier's Jalen Reynolds picked up two personal fouls in the first 40 seconds of the first half and was scoreless heading into halftime of the Musketeers' 90-83 victory over St. John's on Wednesday night in Cincinnati.

The 6-foot-10 forward took out his frustrations on the rim — and St. John's defender Felix Balamou — with a vicious two-handed tomahawk dunk, the first of three Reynolds dunks featured in the video above.

That first jam put the sixth-ranked Musketeers up 47-46 with 16:51 remaining in the second half.

Balamou was called for a technical foul for holding Reynolds leg as he landed. Myles Davis sunk the ensuing free throws to extend Xavier's lead to 49-46.

Reynolds finished with nine points and four rebounds, but was 1 of 8 from the free-throw line.
