Yeboah leads Stony Brook over Binghamton (Feb 18, 2017)

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) Akwasi Yeboah had 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting and Tyrell Sturdivant scored all 10 of his points in the second half to help Stony Brook beat Binghamton 76-55 on Saturday night.

The Seawolves (17-10, 12-2 America East Conference) closed the first half with an 11-4 run and continued with a 16-2 burst to open the second that made it 54-26 on Yeboah's layup with 12:45 left.

Marlon Beck II and Dusan Perovic had 12 points each for the Bearcats (12-17, 3-11), who trailed by at least 20 points for the final 17 minutes.

Lucas Woodhouse had nine points and nine assists for the Seawolves and Roland Nyama had nine points and nine boards. Stony Brook was 10 of 24 from 3-point range.

The Bearcats never led after scoring the opening basket and Stony Brook avenged its 71-67 loss at Binghamton on Jan. 22.
