Youngstown State beats Robert Morris 65-58

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) Matt Donlan scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds as Youngstown State beat Robert Morris 65-58 on Wednesday night.

Donlan was 6 of 12 from the field including 5 of 11 from distance for the Penguins (4-4). Bobby Hain scored 14 points with seven rebounds, Francisco Santiago had 12 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals and Brett Frantz added 10 points. The team averaged 42.9 percent shooting from the field and 60 percent from the line.

Donlan sank four 3-pointers in the first half to help lift the Penguins to a 31-23 lead at the break.

In the second period, Robert Morris closed the gap to 56-50 on a Rodney Pryor 3-pointer with 7:47 left to play but the team went 2 of 11 from the field after that and Youngstown State maintained its advantage.

Pryor led the Colonials (1-7) with 20 points.
