3 Things to Look For During Arkansas vs LA Tech
It’s football time again in Arkansas! With the Razorbacks kicking off only hours away, here’re a few things to look for tomorrow against LA Tech.
It may not be a huge game to outsiders, but Razorback fans have learned not to overlook anybody. The season opener against Louisiana Tech might be a better test for the Hogs than analysts think, however, don’t expect to walk away saying “Holy Toledo!”
For Arkansas, it all starts with the offense. Though it may be a very vanilla game for the Hogs, we finally get to see what first-year starter Austin Allen is gonna look like. It won’t hurt that unlike the Hogs, who are returning nine starters on the defense, LA Tech only brings back three. It’ll be a great game to not only put up some big numbers but to build confidence going forward into the season.
Another element of the Razorback offense you can expect to see big things from comes from the backfield. Anyone who watched the Hogs last season knows that Kody Walker is a solid four and five yard back but they were missing big time speed. You can expect true freshman Devwah Whaley and his 4.44 speed to bust a big run or two against an inexperienced LA Tech defense.
It may be a better game than what some are saying but don’t be too worried Arkansas is going to do anything other than winning big. The vegas line for this game is Arkansas -25.5 but I have them winning by 21. Kickoff for the season opener is at 3 pm CT on the SEC Network and ESPN Watch.
