ACC adds another team to AP Top 25 Poll

With a 31-28 victory over Georgia Tech, the Pitt Panthers improved to 5-1 (3-0 ACC) on the year and cracked the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2009.

Despite losing Heisman hopeful running back James Conner in the first game of the year, the Panthers managed to keep grinding past opponents under first-year coach Pat Narduzzi and are now the No. 25 team in the country.

Clemson (6-0, 3-0 ACC), perhaps the hottest team in the ACC, slid back one spot to No. 6 despite its 34-17 victory over Boston College.

Florida State (6-0, 4-0 ACC) rolled past Louisville, 41-21, and moved up from No. 11 to No. 9.

Duke (5-1, 2-0 ACC) had off last week and capitalized on its inactivity, rising from No. 25 to No. 23.

North Carolina (5-1, 2-0 ACC) convincingly beat Wake Forest, 50-14, and received 17 votes to rank No. 29.

Ohio State (7-0) continues to hold on to the No. 1 spot, but No. 2 Baylor (6-0) is hot on its heels. Utah, who improved to 6-0 over the weekend, traded places with TCU (7-0), going from No. 4 to No. 3.
