ACC lands three in preseason top 25

The Associated Press released its preseason top 25 poll over the weekend and the ACC managed to get three teams on the list and one in the top 10.

Despite an offseason in which two players were arrested and 11 players where selected in the NFL Draft, Florida State was the highest ranked ACC team and came in at the No. 10 spot.

Clemson, who was voted the preseason favorite to win the ACC, was ranked No. 12, while last year’s Coastal Division champions, Georgia Tech, was ranked No. 16.

Virginia Tech was the highest ranked ACC team outside of the top 25, racking up 42 votes to take the 29th spot and was followed by Louisville (No. 32/12 votes) and N.C State (36/4 votes).

Defending champions Ohio State was voted the top team in the country, right ahead of TCU and Alabama.
