Akron mocked Western Michigan's 'row the boat' mantra and then got paddled
Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck has his team moving in perfect strokes, using his "row the boat" mantra to get Broncos rolling to an undefeated start.
On Saturday, Akron came along and decided to have some fun at the expense of the slogan by breaking and burning an oar.
Fleck and the Broncos retaliated to Akron's hostile act, making the Zips live down to their nickname by pasting them 41-0, improving Western Michigan to 7-0.
Clearly, Fleck was not miffed by the oar-breaking before the game:
