Alvin Kamara commits to another year on Rocky Top

Tennessee's backfield will remain intact for the 2016 season, as redshirt sophomore running back Alvin Kamara announced Monday he would return for another season with the Volunteers. Kamara joined the Vols last offseason after coming in as a highly touted junior college player.

Kamara ran for 698 yards, added another 291 receiving yards and had 10 touchdowns from scrimmage in his first season with Tennessee.

With Kamara's return, the Vols will have nearly every player responsible for helping the backfield rush for over 2,600 yards in 2015. The lone loss comes from the graduation of offensive tackle Kyler Kerbyson, who is likely to be replaced in the staring lineup by 2015 five-star prospect Drew Richmond at tackle.

With the return of all three players -- Jalen Reeves-Maybin and Cam Sutton the others -- likely to be drafted in the top rounds of the 2016 NFL Draft returning, expectations will only continue to rise higher on Rocky Top next season.

Can the Vols finally get back to Atlanta in Butch Jones' fourth season coaching the team?
