An early holiday present: Auburn snags two commits in three-day span
Although Auburn was unable to take down fierce rival Alabama in the annual Iron Bowl, the commitments of Rivals.com 4-star prospects Nick Coe and Kyle Davis may have softened the blow a bit.
Coe looks primed to step in right away and contribute to Will Muschamp's defense. At 6'5", 268 pounds, the defensive end has the frame to potentially move inside down the line. Coe's combination of athleticism and positional versatility makes him a very intriguing prospect.
Davis has the look of an Auburn receiver. The Georgia product is big, physical, and has terrific ball skills.
With Auburn's propensity to run the football, its receivers needs to be quality blockers out on the edge. At 6'2", 224 pounds, that shouldn't be a problem with Davis.
Gus Malzahn's team did well here to hit on two specific needs within this recruiting class. It wouldn't be a shock to see both feature as true freshmen in 2016.
