MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Drew Anderson ran for a score and threw five touchdown passes, including two to LaMartez Brooks, and Murray State scored three unanswered second-quarter touchdowns to beat Tennessee State 45-21 on Saturday for its first 3-0 Ohio Valley Conference start since 1997.

Anderson hit Brooks for a 1-yard score and the Racers (3-3, 3-0) closed to 14-10. Kendrick Catis' fumble recovery on the Tigers' ensuing possession set up Anderson's 19-yard go-ahead TD run for a 17-14 lead and the Racers led for good 24-14 at halftime after Anderson hit Armani Hayes on a 9-yard scoring pass.

Anderson was 33 of 51 for 348 yards passing, with TD passes of 14 yards to Jenson Feggins, 12 yards to Malik Honeycutt and a 16-yarder to Brooks in the fourth quarter that was set up by Don Parker's interception of a Micheal Hughes' pass.

Hughes was 30 of 45 for 307 yards passing with TD passes to Aaron Cauthen and Chris Rowland, who had 13 catches for 128 yards. DeMarco Corbin's 2-yard TD run put the Tigers (2-3, 1-2) up 14-3 in the first quarter.
