Another year, another OC for the Jayhawks
Another season of change in Lawrence, Kan., for the Jayhawks.
And not just at the top where coach David Beaty takes over.
Rob Likens is in as KU's fourth offensive coordinator in less than two seasons.
Seriously. That seems excessive.
Likens is a former Cal assistant and has experience running the same offense as Texas Tech has used and that Oklahoma will feature this season.
No more Charlie Weis and that can only mean positives for the Jayhawks who were miserable last season on offense. Montell Cozart completed just 45 percent of his passes last season, but he will likely be the starter as Michael Cummings is out until at least late October recovering from a torn ACL.
A new system can't hurt, that's for sure.
Last season in the Big 12, Kansas ranked last in scoring offense, ninth in passing offense, last in total offense, ninth in pass efficiency and 10th in passing offense.
