UNC’s win over previously ranked Miami jolts them back into the polls at number 22. It’s the third time UNC has been ranked this season, including the preseason polls.

At 5-2, UNC is looking to return to the ACC Championship Game. They sit at 3-1 in the conference with their only loss coming to Virginia Tech.

Following the Hokies big win at UNC, they were beat at Syracuse. The Hokies also dropped out of the polls just two weeks after entering them.

The ACC as a whole has four teams ranked, including two in the top 10.

Clemson is the highest-ranked team in the conference at number four, getting jumped by the Michigan Wolverines. Then there is Louisville.

The Cardinals stayed at number seven despite avoiding an upset at the hands of the Duke Blue Devils.

Florida State is up one spot to number 13 and then the Tar Heels at number 22 round out the ACC teams.

While the AP Top 25 isn’t what decides the bowl games, it’s still a nice measuring stick until the College Football Playoff Polls are released. Those will be out the first week of November and if UNC keeps winning, they should find themselves in the top 20 in that poll as well.
