Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Arizona Football commit Cody Shear is preparing to come to Tucson next season, we caught up with him on his latest visit during Homecoming tailgating.

As promised, Zona Zealots is excited to deliver yet another exclusive interview with one of Arizona’s commits, Cody Shear. Cody will play offensive lineman, and lord knows we need us some offensive lineman. He promised us he is going to put on the pounds and weigh in at 300 or more by the time the summer comes around.

Shear came to the University of Arizona on an unofficial visit during Homecoming weekend before the Stanford Cardinal beat our Wildcats 34-10. Cody verbally committed to Arizona on July 1, 2016. ZonaZealots experts Shereen Rayan and Eric Townsend caught up with Shear on the mall with his very proud father and uncle. They came all the way from Eugene Oregon to Tucson.

We have come to find that Arizona commits are nothing but positive no matter what state their future Wildcats team is in. All they want to do is come to Arizona and help the team. There may not be too many other Pac-12 teams where you will have to chance to make an impact as a freshman as much as Arizona.

Cody Shear is no different. The positivity emanating from the shear family was contagious, and Eric and I enjoyed our time with them. He wants to study business, play in the NFL and coach one day, find out more about Cody in our interview when he explained how tight the incoming class is and who he already has great relationships with:

Please follow Cody on Twitter at @CodyShear7 he would really enjoy getting some Wildcat love while he prepares to come to Tucson and show fans what he is made of! BearDown Cody! Thanks for candor and for sharing your life with us!
