Arizona's luck should change in the 2016 NFL draft

Published May. 8, 2015 2:00 p.m. ET

it's widely known by now that Arizona was shut out of the 2015 NFL draft.

With more time under their belts and a little luck, the Wildcats should produce some serious talent for next year's NFL draft.

Brian Pedersen at Bleacher Report has put together a list of players he thinks will get noticed and become serious NFL prospects. And among the bunch is a punter. Yes, a punter.

Arizona won't be shut out of the NFL draft next year, and Pedersen makes a very good argument.

"The Wildcats were very freshman and sophomore-dominated this past season when they won 10 games and claimed the Pac-12 South title," Pedersen writes. "Many of those key contributors are now juniors or redshirt sophomores, and along with seniors who opted to remain in school, they have roughly a half-dozen legitimate NFL prospects who could all hear their name called next spring if they enter the draft."

With so much talent, it's no wonder expectations are sky high for the Wildcats in 2015.
