ASU projected "on the fence" in College Football Playoff predictions
It's no secret: Arizona State, despite coming into the season ranked in the Top 25, has struggled quite a bit this college football season.
But in a recent column on ESPN.com, writer Mark Schlabach has not quite called ASU out of the hunt. Schlabach has "eliminated" teams like Arkansas, Louisville, Maryland and Virginia. This week, however, he listed Arizona State as one of "on the fence" teams -- though he did add that they are currently trending down.
"Getting blown out by Texas A&M and then struggling against, ahem, Cal Poly isn't a great start for a team that was supposed to contend for a Pac-12 South title," writes Schlabach.
