At $3.1 million, Kliff needs more Ws for Tech to get bang for its buck

With Kliff Kingsbury salary at $3.1 million per season, Texas Tech is shelling out a lot of cash per win when the Red Raiders only bring home four wins.

Kingsbury signed an extension last season through 2020, so the school's athletic director Kirby Hocutt has one all-in on the belief that the former Red Raiders record-setting quarterback can recreate those winning ways.

Kingsbury has a quarterback competition to figure out bfore the fall, and then he'll need to start racking up the wins if he's going to give his bosses the type of bargain that Art Briles had delivered at Baylor, or Gary Patterson at TCU.

After last season's disappointment, Tech fans can only hope.
