Auburn assistant coaches No. 2 in highest salary in the nation

More bang for your buck? That's not something Auburn believed in this season. 

The Tigers handed out $5,471,236 dollars to its assistant coaches this season, according to USA Today. Despite the large figure - the second largest handed out to any staff in the nation - Auburn finished dead last in the SEC West and only achieved two league victories. 

Defensive coordinator Will Muschamp earned the most in 2015, with a salary of $1.6 million. 

On the bright side, with Muschamp gone and now with South Carolina, Auburn's assistant salary pool just took a significant nosedive.
