Auburn dominates Alabama when it comes to proper grammar
OK, so the actual Iron Bowl won't take place until Nov. 28. But Auburn has bragging rights over archrival Alabama in at least one area heading into the season.
An automated proofreading company called Grammarly scanned the comments on SB Nation websites affiliated with each of the teams in the Associated Press top 25, and in terms of fewest grammatical mistakes per 100 words of web comments, Auburn fans came out on top at just 0.9 per 100. TCU was second at 1.6, Oregon was third at 1.9, Ole Miss was fourth at 2.0 and LSU was fifth at 2.1.
Coming in dead last among the top 25: Alabama, which had 6.4 grammatical mistakes per 100 words. That was far worse than the 24th-ranked fan base, that of Georgia, which averaged 5.7.

Grammarly's director of marketing, Yuriy Timen, pointed out that "Auburn’s fans made seven times fewer mistakes than their in-state rival, Alabama," in an email to the Wall Street Journal.
The WSJ also pointed out that, in somewhat of a surprise, there was no correlation between grammatical rankings in this study and the schools' academic rankings.
