Auburn Football vs. Ole Miss: Odds and Expert Predictions
Here we take a look at the odds and predictions from around the Internet as Auburn football prepares to take on Ole Miss this Saturday night.
This is obviously a huge game for Auburn, as every game has been this season, but this is one that they’re actually expected to win on the road. That wouldn’t have been the case against Ole Miss just a few weeks ago.
Let’s see what the experts have to say about this game.
ESPN: For the first time in a while, all five ESPN SEC Bloggers picked Auburn to win this week. The scores were 38-30, 35-21, 41-27, 38-31 and 35-28, so they’re expecting a lot of scoring.
CBS: All seven of the CBS expert pickers have Auburn winning this weekend – that scares me a little. They all have Auburn covering the 4.5 point spread as well.
FOX: Both Stewart Mandel and Bruce Feldman picked Auburn to beat Ole Miss Saturday. Mandel has the game 35-24, while Feldman has it a little closer 34-27.
Bleacher Report: Things were actually pretty split at Bleacher Report where only 3-of-5 experts picked Auburn to win. Two think Auburn wins easy, one thinks it could go either way but went with Auburn, and the two who picked Ole Miss just think they actually play to their talent this weekend.
Campus Insiders: And over at Campus Insiders Brian Stultz has the Tigers winning 35-27.
Other than a couple of losers at Bleacher Report, it’s pretty unanimous that Auburn will beat Ole Miss this weekend.
The over/under on this game has been set at 64 points. I have it a little bit less than that, mainly because I don’t see Auburn’s defense giving up 30 points.
I think Auburn may have to get into the 30’s to win, but it’s hard for me to see their defense giving up that much after what they did to Arkansas last week.
My Prediction:
Auburn – 37
Ole Miss – 17
