Auburn in lead for four-star JUCO?
Auburn reportedly is in the lead for one of the best junior college players in the country.
Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College cornerback JaMarcus King recently voiced his Auburn approval to Wesley Sinor of Alabama Media, saying: "I liked it. I liked the way the coaches came onto me. They were talking to my coach and his wife -- that made me feel wanted here. It was my home state, that's what I like about it."
King went on to tell Sinor that Auburn is "on top" in his recruitment.
King is the fourth-ranked JUCO cornerback in the country, according to 247 sports. He is listed at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds. A commitment would make him the third defensive back in the Tigers' growing 2016 recruiting class, and the team's depth chart might be a factor in his decision.
"They have three seniors now and they're hurting," King said, "so they'll be in a bad situation playing freshmen this year."
