Austin Hooper named to John Mackey Award watch list

Stanford tight end Austin Hooper has been named to the John Mackey Award watch list. The Mackey Award is awarded annually to the most outstanding tight end in college football.

Hooper, a junior, was second on the team in 2014 with 40 receptions and third with 499 yards. He played in all 13 games last season and was named to All-Pac-12 second team.

Hooper figures to be a major part of Stanford's offense and should be QB Kevin Hogan's biggest target this upcoming season.
