Badgers' Alex Erickson lands on top 10 WR list
The Big Ten has some very good wide receivers this year that have yet to become household names around the league. So when Scout came out with their top ten wide outs in the conference for 2015, Badgers fans were pleasantly surprised to see Alex Erickson on the list.
Here is what the publication had to say about the Badgers pass catcher:
"There’s going to be a lot of pressure on Wisconsin junior wide receiver Alex Erickson in 2015 because he needs someone else to step up at the position in Madison. Simply, he’s their go-to-guy. Erickson, 6-foot-0, 199-pounds, caught 55 passes for 772 yards in 2014, both team highs. He also scored three touchdowns in the Badger run oriented offense. Erickson has 16 starts over the last two seasons and he has become Wisconsin’s most dependable player in the passing game."
There will certainly be pressure on Erickson to help take pressure off Corey Clement and the Badgers running game. If they can develop a consistent passing game, look for the Badgers to be a dark horse to win the Big Ten Title.
