Bears loaded with vets, but still a few position battles remain unsettled

Technically, quarterback remains an unsettled position battle. But that just seems like semantics with Seth Russell in total control.

So which positions remain up for grabs on a team with the majority of its starters returning?

Middle linebacker is a big one. Bryce Hager, one of the all-time blue-collar linebackers in Baylor's history will take his shot at the NFL, leaving a big-time hole both in talent and leadership. Grant Campbell currently holds the No. 1 spot on the depth chart, but Aiavion Edwards, a starter for the first half of last season before getting beat out, is shooting to win the job.

There's also some intrigue at offensive guard and defensive end, where Jamal Palmer hopes to return from an ACL injury and play on the other side of Shawn Oakman.
