Bielema announces three suspensions

Published Aug. 31, 2015 4:30 p.m. ET

The fallout from the weekend's arrests of two Arkansas freshmen resulted in both players being suspended and a third suspension being handed out by Bret Bielema, as Jojo Robinson has been suspended for the first half of the UTEP game.

Tight end C.J. O'Grady and punter Blake Johnson were both arrested in separate incidents over the weekend in incidents related to alcohol. Bielema did not announce the length of their suspensions but neither player was expected to play in the opener. Both freshmen are likely facing redshirt seasons.

Robinson's suspension stems from an offseason incident which, Bielema did not go into specifics regarding. The coach did say he laid out certain criteria of which Robinson just failed to achieve, thus he will only be suspended for the first half of the season opener.
