Bielema pining for SEC-Big Ten Challenge in football
As colorful a personality as one will find in college football, Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema is never short-changed when it comes to his opinion.
During his Wednesday SEC teleconference, Bielema interestingly brought up the Big Ten -- and how the conferences should have an annual challenge. Both the SEC and the Big Ten have 14 teams, and the tradition emanating from each makes it an attractive possibility.
"I would like to see the Big Ten and SEC Challenge like basketball," said Bielema. "Let each team there play one in SEC. I have coached in both and have a lot of respect for both."
Prior to his time in Fayetteville, Bielema coached at Wisconsin for nine seasons. He also played his collegiate ball at Iowa.
If this were to come to fruition, the Badgers' brass surely would love the chance to face the Razorbacks in such a competition.
