Big Ten Football: Live Game Thread
While Maryland has a bye this week, there’s still plenty of great Big Ten games to keep an eye on.
There’s a ton of firepower in the conference this season. Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Nebraska are all undefeated so far and appear to be clicking on all cylinders.
In the first edition of our Big Ten power rankings, those were the top five in our projection with the Buckeyes landing in the top spot. Ohio State is fresh off a dominating victory over Oklahoma and despite being young, has been one of the most explosive squads in the nation.
The big game of the day is certainly the top 11 matchup between Michigan State and Wisconsin. This one pits a pair of talented defenses and a pair of the top running backs in the Big Ten in Corey Clement and L.J. Scott.
Another interesting storyline to watch is Penn State traveling to Ann Arbor for a battle with Michigan. James Franklin hasn’t really had a marquee win since arriving in Happy Valley.
It’ll also be interesting to see if Iowa can bounce back from a last-second loss against North Dakota State. The Hawkeyes travel to Piscataway for a game with Rutgers.
The most underrated contest of the day could be the nightcap, which pits Nebraska against an underachieving Northwestern team. The Wildcats certainly have the talent to pull the upset, so this could be a close one for the Cornhuskers.
The Big Ten should be in for a fun afternoon. Check out the schedule below to find out where you can watch each game.
