Blue Devils could have a breakout star in WR Chris Taylor
It's sink or swim for Duke quarterback Thomas Sirk, who's staring down his first season as the team's starter. Making his job tougher, the Blue Devils must also find replacements for their top two receivers last year: Jamison Crowder and Issac Blakeney.
With a couple voids begging to be filled at pass-catcher, Paul Myerberg of USA TODAY Sports has pinpointed Duke wide receiver Chris Taylor as the top candidate on his list of five potential breakout players in the ACC for 2015.
"Taylor is poised to grab a starting role for the Blue Devils after redshirting as a true freshman in 2014," Myerberg wrote. "There's clearly room for Taylor to make his mark: Duke must replace a pair of senior receivers, led by all-conference pick Jamison Crowder, and will need the redshirt freshman to produce from the start."
For Sirk's sake, the Blue Devil faithful hope Myerberg's right.
